This small vignette print, from a design by Hiroshige, draws on the delicate elegance of traditional Japanese woodblock artistry. Featuring a stylised rendering of irises, it captures the structure and grace of these flowers in endearing miniature form. Irises are often seen in Japanese gardens and are known for their symbolism of purity and strength. As you can maybe tell, I am a big fan of irises, and this is one of several designs I have that feature this favourite flower.

This is a hand-made original woodblock print, meticulously crafted by me in my Kirkcudbright studio.
